The author even prepared a calendar for us. Indeed, much of the criticism of this work has come from those who found Singer's portrayal, with its often flawed characters, as "too real." Yet Singer was a man seeking to offer later generations a window into a world that vanished in his lifetime in a flash of gas and violence; who can blame him for wishing to make it as true to life as he was able?I must also mention that this FSG edition is truly beautiful, complete with a useful family tree that can help the reader navigate the maze of relationships in the Byzantine Moskat clan.. Fans of great fright fiction: do not miss this book.. It is one of my favorites now. There are musical anthropomorphic rats with gorgeous names, and unnatural trees with friendly traits. In this novel, the author uses an unusual device for moving the hero around in time -- a potion that he drA citizen's guide to sexual harassment in the workplace describes what harassment is, outlines the legislation designed to combat the problem, and offers strategies for ending it.
