As an advanced hobbyist but being out of the saltwater game for a few years, I was hoping to get caught up on the new species that had been found during my absence. The narrative is so totally scattered that I gave the author the benefit of the doubt thinking "he is writing as if we are inside his head, getting bits and pieces of his disconnected life just as he experienced it." Sadly, that was not his intention. a good article by a friend. This book was well written, however it seemed a bit basic. Once again the hootenany scores another fine set of tracks.. This book really helps one understand the despair and isolation a depressed person feels.
